Do I need internet at the car?
No. KeyAssist is a PWA — once the page loads on your phone, every case, procedure, and Lishi reference is cached. You can pull up data in a parking garage with zero signal.
How accurate is the FCC ID / part number data?
Every variant is researched against at least 20 direct sources (OEM manuals, locksmith forums, equipment vendor confirmations). URLs are verified individually — no template fabrication. Wrong PN means lost money for you, so we hold ourselves to a commercial-data standard.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gets you 5 case lookups per day — enough to try it out. Pro removes the cap and adds compare-cases side-by-side and the client job log. There's a 7-day Pro trial with no card required.
Is my search history shared with anyone?
We don't sell your data and there are no ads. The only analytics — anonymous error monitoring and usage stats — are off by default and load only if you accept cookies; decline and nothing third-party runs. Your saved favorites and job log live in your own browser (localStorage) and in your Firebase profile if you sign in.
Can I use this on an iPhone?
Yes. Open the site in Safari, then "Add to Home Screen" — it installs as a standalone app with offline caching. Works the same on Android via Chrome's "Install app" option.
