Newest builds (2021+) often require dealer with Audi VIN-bound security ticket. Confirm coverage with tool vendor before quoting.

- This chassis spans the MQB Evo era (2022-2025) where Audi layered SFD2 (Software-protected Function Diagnostic) on top of standard IMMO 5+ Security Access. Pre-2023 builds: IM608 II + XP400 Pro + APB112 typically completes OBD via cluster dump. 2023+ builds: SFD2 may force Audi ONLINE security ticket via dealer or 3rd-party portal — verify SFD2 status (read VIN + module list) before quoting.
- Battery support recommended for VAG MQB session (cluster data dump takes time).
- Audi B9 / MLB Evo (2017+): can require dealer-only ONLINE security ticket for newest builds. Verify Autel/Xhorse coverage for the exact VIN before scheduling.
- AKL erases all existing key registrations — bring minimum 2 new key blanks (XSMA1EN or compatible MQB-prepared blank).
