- This chassis Jeep Grand Cherokee uses NXP HITAG-AES (PCF7939M / PCF7953M, Stellantis SKIM 4, 2022-2025). Requires online AES token: Autel IM608 Pro II + IMKPA Chrysler cloud (~$5-15/session), Lonsdor K518 USA Chrysler AES module, Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus + KH100. PIN mandatory (Tech Authority subscription / NASTF / dealer on newest Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer).
- Standard 16-pin DLC OBD path; no XP400 PRO bench, no APB112 simulator needed for OBD enrolment.
- Smart proximity or remote head key: ensure existing key fob battery is functional before starting.
- Verify chip before booking (this chassis facelift): Stellantis SKIM 4 AES era (2015+) replaced SKIM 3 PCF7941 on mid-cycle facelifts. Some 2014-2016 Chrysler 200, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler shipped with mid-MY chip swap — confirm transponder ID from a working key with Lonsdor K518 reader before quoting.
