Notes & cautions
- This chassis (Kia Forte YD, 2014-2018 NA) spans TWO remote flip-key FCC bands: 2014-2016 (early YD) uses OSLOKA-870T at 315 MHz with PN 95430-A7400; 2017-2018 (facelift) uses OSLOKA-875T at 433 MHz with PN 95430-A7200. Both use the same HY15 blade. Verify trim + year before ordering — 315 MHz and 433 MHz fobs are NOT interchangeable.
- NA Forte YD flip-key remote portion is non-transponder per case data (chip=none). However, some IMMO-equipped trims/years may have a SEPARATE transponder chip embedded in the HY15 blade — verify per VIN before quoting. Smart-key proximity variant also exists for EX/SX trims (95440-A7500 / CQOFN00040 for 2014-2016; 95440-A7600 / CQOFN00100 for 2017-2018) — covered in separate cases, NOT this YAML.
- Verify chip before — the YD generation transitioned to Kia 4D60 (Texas, some trims) or remained chip=none on base. Adding a HY15 blank without a chip works fine for the keyless-entry remote portion but if the vehicle has an immobilizer the ignition path requires the chip. Locksmiths should test new blank with engine-cranking BEFORE delivery.
- AKL on this chassis: mechanical HY15 blade cut requires lock decoding (pick / impression / VIN-derived bitting). Remote AKL erases all existing remotes — bring minimum 2 new remotes matching trim year band (OSLOKA-870T for 2014-2016 OR OSLOKA-875T for 2017-2018).
- Verify trim before quoting AKL: 2014-2016 (315 MHz) and 2017-2018 (433 MHz) are NOT interchangeable. Smart-key proximity variant (separate FCCs CQOFN00040 / CQOFN00100) is a different case entirely — not this YAML.
- For IMMO-equipped Forte YD trims (separate transponder in blade): aftermarket OBD tool required for AKL. All major tools (Autel, Lonsdor, OBDSTAR, AutoProPad, AD Smart Pro, Xhorse, Launch) support full IMMO + remote AKL via Hyundai-Kia module.
