Notes & cautions
- This chassis (MINI Cooper J01/J05, 2024-2025) is the new Spotlight Auto JV platform — Chinese-built, NOT BMW FEM/BDC. Newer BMW EU EE control module with Megamos AES IMMO. Autel IM608 II + G-Box and Xhorse VVDI BMW + ACDP module cover earlier BMW CAS4/FEM/BDC F-series, but J01/J05 EU EE has narrow aftermarket support as of 2026. Verify tool firmware J01/J05 coverage before quoting.
- AKL on most 2014+ FEM modules requires bench EEPROM read — quote labor for FEM removal (under steering column / behind glove box).
- Mini Cooper J01/J05 (2024+) is newest Mini — chip data not yet finalized. confirm with reader.
- AKL erases all existing keys — bring minimum 2 new PCF7953P-compatible blanks.
