- This chassis Kia Carnival uses NXP ID47 NCF29A1X HITAG-AES transponder (2025-2025), 128-bit AES — newest Hyundai-Kia security tier. Requires Hyundai-Kia AES token (Autel cloud / Lonsdor K518 USA AES module / Xhorse VVDI 2024+) for cloud-bound seed-code calc. Dealer-bound on some 2024+ VINs. PIN almost always required for AKL.
- Key fob/remote: ensure existing battery is functional before starting.
- Verify chip before booking: ID46 HITAG-2 vs ID47 HITAG-3 vs ID47 AES generations share a fob shell but use different cryptosystems — confirm transponder ID from a working key with Lonsdor K518 reader before quoting.
- Tool kit context: Hyundai-Kia AES token (Autel IMKPA cloud / Lonsdor LKE Smart Key Emulator + K518 USA AES module / Xhorse KH100 token) for newer AES chassis. Autel APB112 simulator NOT typically needed for Korean OBD add-key. XP400 PRO only for damaged Smartra EEPROM fallback. G-Box bench NOT used on this Korean family.
- All existing keys erased. Bring ALL replacement keys before starting — minimum 2.
- No manual AKL for Kia Carnival ID47 AES smart/remote key — professional tool mandatory.
