- This chassis Lexus H-chip (Texas DST-AES Page1 H) / 8A smart key. NX 2nd gen (2022-2025) — H-chip / 8A smart key. Newer-era H-chip/8A on Autel needs IMKPA token (~$5-15/session). Lonsdor K518 USA + Honda/Toyota AES module covers G/H/8A natively. Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus needs 2024+ firmware for H-chip. Standard 16-pin DLC OBD path; no XP400 PRO bench, no APB112 simulator needed for OBD enrolment.
- Smart proximity key: ensure existing key fob battery is functional before starting.
- NX 2nd gen has three key variants — HYQ14FLC (315 MHz fob), HYQ14FLD (433 MHz fob), HYQ14CCP (card key). FLC and FLD are different frequencies and NOT cross-programmable. Confirm variant from existing key FCC label.
- NX350h/NX450h+ hybrid: do not disconnect 12V auxiliary battery without proper HV service isolation.
- Post-2024 Autel US firmware: Toyota/Lexus add-key may be affected by TMNA restrictions — verify on current firmware.
- All existing keys erased. Bring ALL replacement keys before starting — minimum 2.
- No manual AKL for Lexus NX 2nd gen H chip smart key — professional tool mandatory.
- AKL for Lexus H chip typically needs dealer-issued PIN or EEPROM dump on some models — confirm OBD AKL path before quoting.
- Keep all existing/lost key fobs at least 10 metres from vehicle during AKL.
- Post-2024 Autel US firmware: Toyota/Lexus AKL reportedly restricted per TMNA — verify capability before booking.
