Notes & cautions
- This chassis Mazda Mazda 6 uses NXP HITAG-PRO ID49 128-bit (2014-2021). ID49 covered by Lonsdor K518 USA + Mazda online module (~$5-10/session), Autel IM608 Pro II + IMKPA Mazda cloud token, Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus + KH100 Mazda module. Standard 16-pin DLC OBD path; no XP400 PRO bench needed.
- Key fob/blade: ensure existing battery (if applicable) is functional before starting.
- Verify chassis chip before booking: ID49 HITAG-PRO (2014-2019 era) transitions to 6A HITAG-AES on facelift CX-5 KF / Mazda 3 BP / CX-30. Confirm transponder ID from a working key with Lonsdor K518 reader before quoting. Mid-cycle MY transitions documented on CX-5 and Mazda 3.
- Tool kit context: Autel IMKPA Mazda module (cloud token ~$5-15/session) and Lonsdor LKE Smart Key Emulator for K518 simulated-key flow are the dominant accessories. Xhorse KH100 + Mazda module also confirmed. APB112 simulator, G-Box bench EEPROM NOT required. XP400 PRO only for IMMO box EEPROM fallback.
- All existing keys erased. Bring ALL replacement keys before starting — minimum 2.
- No manual AKL for Mazda Mazda 6 ID49 HITAG-PRO — professional tool mandatory.
- AKL on ID49 HITAG-PRO via OBD typically needs PIN/AES token — confirm before quoting.
- Keep all existing/lost key fobs at least 10 metres from vehicle during AKL.
- AKL accessory needs: Autel IMKPA + Mazda AES token, Lonsdor LKE Smart Key Emulator for K518 simulated-key AKL path, KH100 Mazda. APB112 NOT mandatory. G-Box bench EEPROM NOT used. XP400 PRO only if IMMO box EEPROM corrupted (rare).
