- This chassis (Mazda MPV 2nd gen, 2000-2006) spans vintage Temic 8C → 4C chip transition — pre-2003 typically 8C, 2004-2006 typically 4C. Both are non-rolling fixed-code chips, clone-only via Autel KM100 + Mazda menu. No OBD programming on this era. AKL requires PCM module pull + EEPROM read.
- AKL on vintage non-rolling chip = bench EEPROM read OR dealer IMMO box swap OR bypass module. NO simple OBD AKL exists. Quote accordingly — labor includes IMMO box removal + bench work.
