Add Key/AKL requires Audi ONLINE security access (factory scan tool flow). Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus + ACDP module pair or Autel IM608 II with Audi MLB Evo package may work for some 2017-2020 builds. Newest builds (2021+) often require dealer with Audi VIN-bound security ticket. Confirm coverage with tool vendor before quoting.

Notes & cautions
- This chassis spans the Audi MLB Evo era (2021-2025) which uses Porsche-shared J1 EV platform with Audi-style IMMO + Audi ONLINE security. Aftermarket Add Key/AKL frequently requires dealer ONLINE security ticket via Audi (Erwin) portal or 3rd-party VIN-bound ticket. XP400 Pro + APB112 BCM read may work for early builds — confirm with vendor before quoting.
- Battery support recommended for VAG MQB session (cluster data dump takes time).
- Audi B9 / MLB Evo (2017+): can require dealer-only ONLINE security ticket for newest builds. Verify Autel/Xhorse coverage for the exact VIN before scheduling.
- e-tron GT uses J1 platform (Porsche Taycan sibling). Procedure may need Porsche-side knowledge in addition to Audi. confirm tool coverage.
- AKL erases all existing key registrations — bring minimum 2 new key blanks (XSMA1EN or compatible MQB-prepared blank).
- e-tron GT EV: 12V battery support critical. HV in standby.
