What the job needs
- Add a key: 1 existing working key required.
- All keys lost: no existing working key needed.
- PIN / security code: required — NASTF VSP SAC (24-digit).
- Online / server access: required — Tool cloud login req'd.
- On-board (no tool) sequence: not available — 2025-2026 Optiq has no DIY onboard programming for the physical fob. Dealer-side relearn requires two existing recognized keys and GM SPS2 / MDI 2. Aftermarket Add Key requires CAN FD-capable tool + NASTF SAC. The 2026 Digital Key (Apple Wallet) is a separate owner-managed feature, not a manual programming alternative for the physical key.

Notes & cautions
- This chassis (Optiq EV 2025-2026, Ultium platform) uses GM Global B / CAN FD smart key (FCC YGOG20TB1) shared with Lyriq / Escalade T1XX / CT4 / CT5 / Vistiq / XT4 2024-2025. Requires Autel CAN FD adapter, OBDSTAR CAN FD adapter, or Lonsdor K518 Pro built-in CAN FD. Verify trim before quoting — 7-button (Premium Luxury / Sport with frunk PN 13560909) vs 6-button (Base / Luxury without frunk PN 13560911) are different OEM SKUs with different button-map firmware.
- NASTF VSP 24-digit Security Access Code MANDATORY for all aftermarket programmers on this variant. GM blocked direct-server PIN retrieval in 2021. SAC from NASTF SDRM portal or 3rd-party PIN calculator service per VIN. IM608 Pro II XP400 PRO bench module bundled with the kit is NOT used on this chassis — OBD only.
- 2026 Optiq adds Digital Key (Apple Wallet phone-as-key) via OTA software update — separate provisioning path through GM myCadillac app / Tesla-style Apple Wallet pairing. Digital Key is OWNER-managed; no locksmith path. Customer asking for "iPhone key" needs to be referred to Cadillac dealer for Digital Key activation. Verify chip before — physical-fob path is what this procedure covers; Digital Key is dealer/OTA only.
- AKL on this chassis erases all existing keys. Bring minimum 2 new blanks per button-count trim (7-btn vs 6-btn must match trim).
- Optiq aftermarket AKL coverage on this variant is newest (2025+ tool software level required). Autel + AutoProPad G3 best-positioned via Cadillac Global B inheritance. OBDSTAR + Lonsdor + Xhorse coverage on Optiq specifically is uncertain — confirm with distributor before quoting.
- NASTF VSP 24-digit SAC required. OBDSTAR-style bypass attempt NOT documented for Optiq specifically — assume PIN required. 2026 Digital Key (Apple Wallet) is separate; does not substitute for physical-fob AKL.
