- This chassis Ford Ranger (1998-2012) is pre-immobilizer — no transponder chip. The blade alone starts the vehicle. Locksmith cuts to OEM code from VIN or existing key. No chip-programming tools needed. Remote (if equipped) learned via in-vehicle key sequence per OEM service manual.
- Key/remote: ensure existing battery (if applicable) is functional before starting.
- Tool kit context: Lonsdor K518 USA + Autel IM608 Pro II + IMKPA can reprogram remote-function radio for pre-immobilizer cars if equipped. APB112 simulator, G-Box bench EEPROM, XP400 PRO, LKE Smart Key Emulator NOT applicable to mechanical-only chassis.
