- This chassis Volvo S90 uses Volvo CEM ID49 (2017-2025). Covered by Autel IM608 Pro II + IMKPA Volvo + bench CEM module, Lonsdor K518 USA + Volvo adapter, Xhorse VVDI Prog + Volvo CEM module, AVDI Volvo niche tool. CEM bench EEPROM dump common for AKL on older chassis.
- Volvo CEM is fragile — battery support 12V+ MANDATORY; CEM EEPROM corruption risk if voltage drops mid-write.
- Smart proximity or remote head key: ensure existing key fob battery is functional before starting.
- Verify chip before booking (this chassis facelift): Volvo CEM spans Megamos ID48 (pre-2010) → PCF7945 ID46 (2008-2014 CEM era) → HITAG-PRO ID49 (2014-2018) → HITAG-AES 8A (2018+).
