Notes & cautions
- This chassis (Mercedes W214 E-class, 2024-2025) spans the newest FBS4 BGA generation — no aftermarket support yet for 2024+ Mercedes FBS4 platforms. Autel IM608 II + IMKPA and Xhorse VVDI MB cover earlier FBS4 chassis (W205/W213/W222/W246) but NOT W214/X254 generation. CSC ticket approximately $50-100 per VIN via dealer XENTRY portal — this is the practical path. Verify Autel/Xhorse W214 coverage status before quoting.
- AKL on FBS4 typically requires EIS removal + bench programming.
- Newest Mercedes (2022+) can require dealer-bound CSC ticket — aftermarket coverage limited. Confirm tool vendor coverage for the exact VIN before scheduling AKL.
- AKL erases existing keys — bring minimum 2 new BGA-compatible Mercedes key blanks.
