Notes & cautions
- This chassis Mitsubishi Lancer uses Texas 4C ID4C transponder (1995-2000). Older fixed-code Texas 4C — Autel IM608 Pro II + IMKPA Mitsubishi, Lonsdor K518 USA, Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus all support 4C add-key. Standard 16-pin DLC OBD path; no XP400 PRO bench needed for OBD enrolment.
- Smart proximity or remote head key: ensure existing key fob battery is functional before starting.
- Verify chip before booking (this chassis facelift): Mitsubishi spans 4C (pre-2007) → 4D61 (2003-2011) → ID46 HITAG-2 (2008-2017) → ID47 HITAG-3 (2018+) → HITAG-AES 4A (2022+) — confirm transponder ID from a working key with Lonsdor K518 reader before quoting.
- Tool kit context: Autel IMKPA Mitsubishi module is the dominant add-key accessory (~$5-15/session for AES). Lonsdor LKE Smart Key Emulator for K518 simulated-key flow. Xhorse KH100 Mitsubishi module also confirmed. APB112 simulator, G-Box bench EEPROM NOT required for OBD-only add-key. XP400 PRO only for IMMO box bench fallback.
- All existing keys erased. Bring ALL replacement keys before starting — minimum 2.
- No manual AKL for Mitsubishi Lancer 4C — professional tool mandatory.
- AKL for Mitsubishi 4C via OBD; some chassis facelift years require NASTF PIN — confirm AKL path before quoting.
- Keep all existing/lost key fobs at least 10 metres from vehicle during AKL.
- AKL accessory needs: Autel IMKPA + Mitsubishi AES token for cloud calc, Lonsdor LKE Smart Key Emulator for K518 simulated-key AKL path, KH100 Mitsubishi token. APB112 NOT mandatory. G-Box bench NOT used. XP400 PRO only if IMMO box EEPROM corrupted (rare).
Lockout
