Notes & cautions
- This chassis Mitsubishi Mirage uses Philips ID46 PCF7936 HITAG-2 (2014-2024). Covered natively by Autel IM608 Pro II + IMKPA, Lonsdor K518 USA + Mitsubishi adapter, Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus + KH100, OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus Mitsubishi menu. PIN read tool-side via OBD.
- Smart proximity or remote head key: ensure existing key fob battery is functional before starting.
- Verify chip before booking (this chassis facelift): Mitsubishi spans 4C (pre-2007) → 4D61 (2003-2011) → ID46 HITAG-2 (2008-2017) → ID47 HITAG-3 (2018+) → HITAG-AES 4A (2022+) — confirm transponder ID from a working key with Lonsdor K518 reader before quoting.
- Tool kit context: Autel IMKPA Mitsubishi module is the dominant add-key accessory (~$5-15/session for AES). Lonsdor LKE Smart Key Emulator for K518 simulated-key flow. Xhorse KH100 Mitsubishi module also confirmed. APB112 simulator, G-Box bench EEPROM NOT required for OBD-only add-key. XP400 PRO only for IMMO box bench fallback.
- All existing keys erased. Bring ALL replacement keys before starting — minimum 2.
- No manual AKL for Mitsubishi Mirage ID46 HITAG-2 — professional tool mandatory.
- AKL for Mitsubishi ID46 HITAG-2 via OBD; some chassis facelift years require NASTF PIN — confirm AKL path before quoting.
