- Crosstrek GU (2024+) shares Impreza 6 + Forester SL platform - all use Hitachi 8A 128-bit DST-AES (Subaru H-Master). Earlier 4D60 G-key add-key procedure does NOT apply; tool firmware must explicitly support DST-AES 8A path. Verify by checking key fob FCC HYQ14AKB-family before quoting.
- No external PIN required for Subaru Texas DST-AES 8A add key. Autel/Smart Pro reads IMMO data internally via OBD.
- No internet required for Autel add key on Subaru Texas DST-AES 8A. Smart Pro ADS2255/ADS2330 requires WiFi for AD server.
- Subaru smart system limit: maximum 4 keys per vehicle. If 4 already programmed, one must be erased before adding new key.
- Crosstrek GU (2024+) is newest Subaru chassis. Verify tool firmware before quoting.
- Crosstrek GU AKL on push-start trims requires APB112 + IMKPA cloud token. Lonsdor K518 USA + H-Master dongle is the alternative path. AKL without one of these accessory chains will fail at IMMO data read phase - module returns no-response, not error code.
