Notes & cautions
- Suzuki Kizashi (2010-2013) uses a PROPRIETARY proximity key IMMO system unique to this chassis — no aftermarket key programmer supports it. Confirmed by McGuire Locksmith Service, Kizashi Club forum (kizashiclub.com), and locksmithkeyless.com as of 2026. Programming requires Suzuki SDT2 dealer scan tool exclusively.
- Dealer cannot program a USED or previously-registered fob — only new, unregistered (virgin) KBRTS009 proximity key blanks can be added. Confirm blank is factory-new before scheduling the job.
- Suzuki Kizashi AKL: same dealer-only constraint as Add Key. No aftermarket programmer supports AKL for this model. Suzuki SDT2 required.
- All existing keys will be erased during AKL — bring min 2 new virgin KBRTS009 blanks. Dealer must perform. Customer needs tow if no working key exists.
